The traditional treat for Shove Tuesday. Everyone has their favourite topping, whether it be chocolate sauce, fruit or the sugar topped classic.

Pancakes are so easy to make and will only take a few minutes before you can start tucking into them, so let's get started......

Ingredients

For the pancakes:

* 1 Free-Range Eggs
* 85g Self-Raising Flour
* 300ml/1/2 Pint of Milk
* Oil to Drizzle

For the chocolate sauce:

* 55g of Caster Sugar
* 30g of Cocoa Powder
* Splash of Hot Water

Preparation Method

1. To make the pancake batter, whisk the flour egg and milk together in a bowl.
2. Heat the oil in a pancake pan and then ladle the batter in. Tilt to cover the pan with the mixture and fry for 1-2 minutes on each side or until golden.
3. Repeat to make further pancakes.
4. For the sauce, whisk the sugar, cocoa powder and water together in a small pan over a gentle heat. Add extra water depending on how thick you require the sauce to be.
5. To serve, transfer the pancakes onto a plate and then drizzle over the chocolate sauce to your desire.
