Jumpstart Your Weekend

8th July 2014 | Posted in Womens & Occasions by H. Simpson

The jumpsuit craze has been a long standing trend for quite some time now. A great alternative to the LBD, the jumpsuit adds class and sophistication without giving too much away. Presenting a polished look whilst avoiding the struggle of pieceing items together that compliment each other, the jumpsuit creates a sharp, cleancut look with enough edge to create a standout look. A great advantage of a jumpsuit is the ability to flatter the figure in a way that the dress is refrained from. There are many styles, fits and colours available on the market depending on the look you want to go for. Wearing a jumpsuit is an easy, efficient way of creating a dressed up, effortless look.
The most obvious choice in terms of flattery is to opt for a black jumpsuit. Choosing black enables you to build your own style upon the outfit whether it be an added pop of colour, a statement printed accessory or understated 'go with everything' black shoes and bag.

The below Michael Kors designer jumpsuit offers a draped look with a metal chain belt feature to be cinched in at the waist and a tighter look around the leg area. A similar version to this albeit with added sleeve detail is the Michael Kors V Neck Jumpsuit. For something completely contrasting to this, French Connection have added a Calla Collette Strappy Jumpsuit to their collection. Featuring this season's neon orange colour, skinny straps and wide legs, this jumpsuit screams essex girl and would look great accessorised with a gold metal chain belt and gold accessories. To complete this Essex look, ensure hair is backcombed beyond belief and eyelashes are on!

Maison Scotch are a Dutch brand that offer quirky, unusual and detailed garments that help distinguish themselves away from other fashion brands and their Silky Feel Jumpsuit is no exception. Featuring an all over red leaf print design over a backdrop of navy blue, the loose fit offers a relaxed look with a tie up belt around the waist. The leg is slightly cropped to allow the ankle to be shown and a pair of skyscraper heels would complete the formal look.
