The Soundtrack To Your Weekend

As Halloween is just around the corner, its only right we have a special Halloween playlist this week!
Sonique - Put A Spell on You Anyone remember this? Wonder where she went! She was quite good as well, remember 'feels so good' and 'sky'? Real name Sonia (oh I get it!), Sonique actually had a residency at former Ibiza superclub Manumission for three years.
The Automatic - Monster To some, this was a bit of a racket, but it actually made number 4 in the charts as was a annoyingly catchy song for the Summer of 2006. Though the song may sound like it doesn't make sense, it actually has hidden meanings and the word 'monster' is actually a metaphor for the monster that comes out in people when they're drunk! Who knew!
Shakedown - At Night This video is totally Halloween themed! Zombies and vampires galore. Don't see what this has to do with the song though, other than it being at night but still very catchy all the same! Shakedown were a one hit wonder to never be heard of again!
Beatfreakz - Somebodies Watching Me Michael Jackson featured on the original version of this by Rockwell, singing the famous chorus 'I always feel like somebodies watching me...' When this was re-released a few years ago as a dance version, the video was all zombies and monsters, check it out. Warning: catchy!
Shakira - She Wolf This songs quite mellow even though she's singing about a werewolf and howling! Owww! The video is one for the men - shes gyrating about all over the place (typical Shakira).
Sugababes - Freak Like Me Arguably one of Sugababes most famous songs they did when they were together. When they were the originals - sort of?! The songs a classic though and its actually a cover version of Adina Howard's chilled out, soul version.
Duran Duran - Hungry Like a Wolf One from back in the day, an oldie but a goody! The video is inspired by Indiana Jones and is set in Sri Lanka. Check it out, it won a Grammy and came 11th in MTV's 100 Greatest Videos Ever Made. Good old Duran Duran!
Michael Jackson - Thriller Definitely one of Michael Jackson's top 3 hits and has a legendary dance to it that its still renowned for today. Just remember that its like a mini film so you might want to fast forward quite a bit to get to the song!
Ray Parker Jr - Ghostbusters Now for the novelty... Think everyone watched Ghostbusters once upon a time, no matter how rubbish it was! If they brought that out now, who would watch it??
Bobby 'Boris' Pickett - Monster Mash Again, another novelty song, this was first released back in 1962 and has since become a Halloween classic. The song has been re-released many times but this is the original...
