Tough Love Biker Looks

This week we have lots of leather jackets, chunky boots and biker style trousers. As the nights get darker earlier and the temperature starts to drop, these grey, toned down colours are more suited to the mood of the Wintery days. Ideal really as black goes with anything and everything so add a touch of rock & roll to your outfit with an edgy jacket or boot!

Top Half...

A stereotypical looking leather jacket - with a twist. You can't see this too well in the photo but the arms are black whilst the body of the jacket is a deep navy creating a colour contrast. There are so many jackets of this style in the shops at the minute, so you'll notice that brands try and create something different with their jackets to make it their own and French Connection have done this through use of colour.

This 100% leather Religion jacket is the ultimate leather jacket! Complete with small detailing like the zips and metal studs, this quirky version is definitely my favourite. The softest out of the lot, I'd throw this jacket on with lots of outfits to add an edge to a girly outfit. The creased effect also adds to the uniqueness of the jacket, making it more authentic looking. Religion are the go to brand when incorporating this look. Their image is all skulls and crosses, dark, moody colours and quirky designs; they are masters in creating vintage, worn looking garments by creating different washes and textures.

This jacket is a cropped, fitted style which is a flattering fit and less masculine than others. Deciding on which leather look jacket to have depends on what features you prefer whether it be with or without a collar, colour, how many zips and detailing you want adorned onto the front etc. Another feature this jacket lacks are lapels as where other jackets are left unzipped and open, lapels are left hung loose whereas this version is very neat and smart.

The difference of the Rino & Pelle jacket is that its quilted and has a fur collar. The used biker feature is the difference of the uncentred zip. A jacket is not particularly necessary to achieve this look, even a chunky cardigan would do. This is a less harsher biker look, the soft chunky knit softens and creates a more feminine look. Ideal for the Winter, this wrap cardigan offers detailing such as a star brooch and cross over front with a leather inspired trim. This would look great with skinny jeans and some boots. Give It Some Kick...

This knee length boot has been given a feminine kick with the wedge heel. Wedges are the comfiest type of heel to wear I find, even when the wedge is really big and seeing as the boot is an Ugg boot, you can be sure of the comfort and long lasting wear. Wear these over the top of jeans to show the full length of the boot.

This has the biggest biker look out of the chosen boots. Theres no need for a leather jacket here, the boots are enough on their own. I'd wear these with skinny jeans and a top in a warm, soft colour so as not to go biker mad! I don't know what it is about buckles with silver metal that turns a garment into a tough, rock look, maybe its because they aren't the most dainty or prettiness of features and this boot has three!
