Outfit Of The Week Country Casual

4th October 2013 | Posted in Womens & Outfit of the week by H. Simpson
This week's outfit of the week is incorporating country style. Following on from the English Country Heritage Chic blog, this outfit has been carefully chosen with regards to colour and style. Mixing tweeds with rustic colours and quirky footwear, this look is country chic with a relaxed casual feel.

Classic Winter Poly Top in Cream by French Connection

Super Skinny J in Chili by Monkee Genes

Nutwell Blazer in Olive by Barbour

Charlie Brogue Shoes in Dark Tan by J Shoes

Ruby Pippa Satchel by Modalu London

The Top I've chosen this French Connection top because I thought a plain top was needed underneath the blazer. The colour is significant as well as a black would look out of place with all the brown colours and there's only certain colours that would go with a mixture of browns but a cream works well. The Jeans The jeans are creating a quirky colour clash but also somehow go with the outfit. The warm colours all work together and again, I didn't want to add black into the outfit. Monkee Genes are a nice, skinny fit and come in lots of unusual colours. I think this pair are just the right shade of maroon. The Blazer The blazer is the best piece of this outfit, everything else is worked around it. Blazers are great for just adding to an outfit when wearing a basic skinny jean and t shirt outfit; they instantly smarten the outfit up. This one in particular is great as its got an old fashioned, tweedy feel to it which is very in at the moment. The jacket is fitted as well so its flattering and feminine even though its a traditional masculine type blazer. The Shoes The shoes are probably the quirkiest item of the outfit. Although not to everyone's taste, the brogues again create a feminine feel with a masculine type shoe. They may not seem 'girly' but they are very cool. The Bag The Pippa bag is a great choice. To go with this expensive type of look, what better way to add more class than a designer bag! Modalu London's very own Pippa bag named after Pippa Middleton herself.

The finished look ends up like this! (The look is very Made in Chelsea!) Just remember to incorporate Autumn colours such as browns, creams, olives and golds together without adding harsher colours to the mix such as black or vibrant colours or it'll end up looking less country and more clash!
