Practically everyone knows what a pair of TOMS are now especially after the massive influx of them last year, but do you know the background to them? Sure you probably know that they give to a good cause, but what? and who? Basically, they have a 'one for one policy'. This means that every pair of TOMS purchased, the TOMS company help one person in need. The TOMS are given out in more than 60 countries to kids aged from toddlers to teens, increasing health, education and
confidence. So as well as looking good, you're helping a child in need.
Everyone knows what the basic, original TOMS look like so here's a refreshing change on a range of alternatives that are on offer.
The Smart Look
Its totally up to you what you wear with your TOMS, you can put them with a smart outfit or dress them down casually. I've put together three outfits, each totally different styles and each with a pair of TOMS. The easiest way to decide what sort of outfit is going to compliment your TOMS is to look for some sort of 'match'. What I mean by this is to try match the colour of your TOMS to something in your outfit; this could be through a colour or a fabric type. This is what I've done with the first outfit; matched the TOMS to the belt. I love the look of this pair, they remind me of a man made pair formed from natural resources found on a beach. Take a smart pair of chinos and match with a glitzy top to automatically dress up your TOMS.

The Casual Look
This is a more relaxed, casual look for every day wear. Here I've taken the blue from the vest top and incorporated this further with the Umbrella Striped TOMS. Though this pair are different to the standard, they're not frighteningly attention seeking, instead offering a twist on the original.

The Summer Look
This is my favourite look out of all three being its the most fun and fresh. This is perfect for the Summer days we're (apparently!) going to get. Here, I've matched even the smallest amount of colour from the T Shirt i.e. the heart and used this to match the TOMS. This look can also be used with an Earthwise Vegan pair but I chose to use this look with the Geometric Ikat because of the Aztec/tribal-like print and its a more playful alternative to a single block of colour. I love how on trend this whole outfit is right now; the studded detail on the shorts, the print and colour of the TOMS and the added charm detail on the T Shirt.
