With the wintery weather well and truly set in, one question has crowded every well dressed gents mind: how do we keep warm without looking like we've rolled round in our wardrobes to wear as many layers as possible? Well, don't worry-we've got you covered with this quick fire guide to a few outfits that are sure to keep you warm during the winter months, whether you're off to work, relaxing at the weekend or trying to look that little bit smarter. First up-work. Now, you don't have to think this is purely an outfit cut out for the suit wearing worker. You can take this suave ensemble and use it elsewhere-weddings, christenings, pretty much anything you've got coming up where a simple shirt and trousers just won't cut it. We love the smart silhouette this Michael Kors Crombie jacket gives, and features such as elbow patching and three button fastening give it a fashionable edge. This jacket is fully lined and pretty warm-but if you need something extra, try the Hugo Boss scarf we've put with it. Finally, the stripe pattern on the Ted Baker shirt contrasts with the white collar, allowing a bit of extra colour and pattern to be introduced with the tie. Secondly- that awkward in-between moment of trying to look smart, without looking like you're off to a wedding, but also without looking like you haven't made the effort. Imagine a smart Saturday in town- a bit of shopping, and some dinner perhaps? Try this look. The Scotch & Soda blazer features a removable shawl neck lining, allowing you to wear it as an outwear piece or as a straight forward blazer, making it very versatile and easy to wear. We've put a Suit cord shirt underneath, to add a bit of texture and contrast to the look. Finally, a splash of colour comes thanks to the striped Paul Smith scarf. Finally- something for the weekend. There's isn't much quite as good as a trusty Barbour at keeping the wind and rain at bay. Problem is, quite a few people have now become privy to this information. So how do you stand out from the crowd and still get all the amazing qualities that only a Barbour can provide? You go for a Barbour Steve McQueen jacket of course-but not just any McQueen. You go for the Rexton jacket; hand treated so that each one has an individual used effect, the Rexton is Barbour as you've never seen it. We've layered it up with some pretty neutral colours in the G-Star shawl neck knit, and the Fred Perry Oxford shirt. The perfect outfit to keep you warm this weekend.
